Orisa Education Series?
The Orisa Education Series is a learning academy that guides you from the very beginning of your Yoruba spiritual journey into confident, self-sufficient practice. Whether you're new to the tradition or returning to reclaim your heritage, we provide the foundation, clarity, and support you need to grow with confidence.
Who are we?
We are in the Osogbo lineage of Oluwo Agbongbon Fakayode Faniyi and guided in the U.S. by Oloye Awo Elemoso Otun Faṣola Odunade, our program connects you to authentic teachings and real community. With access to established temples and various ilé across Atlanta, Washington DC, New York, and St. Louis, you’ll find both knowledge and belonging.
What is our story?
The Orisa Education Series was started as "Orisa 101" under Oloye Faṣola Odunade. Due to the rigors of leading an ilé (Oriṣa temple) and other businesses, Oloye and his wife, Iya Omiṣaro Odunade, appointed Baba Obaṣina Ooṣarinu to teach the class back in 2019. Since then, Baba Obaṣina has been developing the class and Òrìṣà education programs for the Atlanta-based Ifá temple Oṣelogbe and has partnered with several Ifá and Oriṣa temples to assist in the education of the Yoruba spiritual system (Iṣeṣe) fundamentals.
